UNESCO

UNESCO is United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. It was established to build peace through international cooperation in Education, the Sciences and Culture. UNESCO's programmes directly contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals defined in Agenda 2030, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015.

UNESCO leads the coordination and monitoring of the Global Education 2030 Agenda which aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.

UNESCO promotes the right to education for everyone and provides global and regional leadership in education, strengthens education systems worldwide and responds to contemporary global challenges through education. UNESCO assists Member States in developing high-quality and inclusive education systems from pre-school to higher education and beyond.
